Cuairteoir ón Afraic/ A Visitor from Africa
Tháinig cuairteoir go dtí Rang V i lár mí Eanáir. Is dochtúir í an tSr. Ní Dhubhagáin a cónaíonn agus a oibríonn san Afraic (Uganda, an Afraic Theas, an tSaimbia agus an Chéinia). Chaith sí tríocha bliain ag obair in ospidéal i Uganda. Bronnadh gradam uirthi ó Uachtarán na hÉireann. Is iardhalta na Modhscoile í freisin. Chaith sí leathuair a chloig ag caint le Rang V sa Halla agus bhaineamar an-sult as a cuairt!
Rang V had a visitor in the middle of January. Sr. Miriam Duggan is a doctor who lives and works in Africa (Uganda, South Africa, Zambia and Kenya). She spent spent over thirty years as a gynaecologist at St Francis’ Hospital, Nsambya, Kampala in Uganda and was the recipient of a Presidential Distinguished Service Award. She is also a past-pupil of the Model School. She spent half an hour chatting with Rang V and we really enjoyed her visit!
